Looking forward to spring planting? It's time to get started! Here are some options to give your home curb appeal:

Hydrangea - In neutral soil, expect pink and lavender blooms, while in slightly acidic soil, they'll bloom a deep blue. Keep plants about 2 feet from house to prevent moisture problems and give them room to spread.

Encore Azalea - These do well in sunny spots that would burn other azaleas. Encore's bloom in spring and again in late summer - early fall. Plant in slightly acidic soil with plenty of compost.

Carissa Holly - This compact plant that blooms white in spring is good for smaller areas. It's drought resistant, but does appreciate weekly watering and mulch.

Rhododendron - Plant in partial sun; prune and fertilize after spring flowering.
Catmint - Loves dry, hot weather and can thrive in average, well-drained soil.

Laurel "Otti Luyken - Year round green foliage even in winter.

Heavenly Bamboo - Does well in partial shade, but foliage gets brighter in full sun. Great for 4 season texture and color.

Blue Angel Hosta - Good for shady. You'll be able to separate and replant growth every 2-3 years.

Harland Dwarf Boxwood - Grows well in sun or partial shade. Great choice if you're thinking of adding evergreens.

Knockout Rose - Continual blooms from spring to first frost and are easy to care for!

Check your garden center or preferred nursery for a wide variety of options. Make sure to check the tags on the plants for planting instructions and other maintenance information to keep your plants healthy and thriving for years to come.
